  2. Excellent! Thanks for the great/clear/sharp explanations. In my experience “Refocus” is a bit too slow. Perhaps a bout of optimisation of the algorithm will help. I definitely would like to look into this.

  3. Could not have come at a more handy time. I was using this feature in Digikam only yesterday and was pondering the ins and outs of it all. This makes things a lot clearer thank you Dmitri.

  4. There is a much better open source refocus plugin for gimp, as part of the GMIC gimp plugin-set. It is faster, and has better results.
