Week Numbers Photography Project: Week 19

This week’s number is not particularly interesting, but the window’s unusual form and decoration make up for that.

I had several potential candidates for the week 18 entry, but this one won me by its bright colors and somewhat unusual for Aarhus typeface.

I’m a bit late with an entry for week 17, but there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for that: I had to finish and develop a roll of Ilford XP2 Super 400 first. This was my first attempt to shoot with a chromogenic black-and-white film, and I’m pleasantly surprised with the results.

Last week has been rather uneventful, which is probably a good thing.

Week 15

This week, I acquired a Nikon F-301 film SLR in excellent condition, so it seems appropriate to use one of the photos I took with it for week 15.

Here is an interesting factoid about Aarhus: most streets in the the city skip number 13. Defying the laws of arithmetic, 11 in many places is followed by 15.

Week 13

Browsing magazine shelves at a local convenience store looking for a good read, the missus and I stumbled upon the Monocle magazine. I can’t believe we haven’t discovered it before. The magazine covers culture, business, and design, and it’s chock-full of good articles and photographs. Issue 61 features a special report on Germany, which makes it even more interesting for us, as we are quite fond of our neighboring country.

Week 11 is about to end, but there is no spring in sight. Temperatures are still hovering around -3°C, it’s pretty windy, and there is a snow storm (!) coming sometime next week. Brrr!

I haven’t had a chance to get out and shoot this week. Fortunately, I already had a photo for this week stashed on my machine.

I’ve been sick like a dog for the past week, so I had to make do with the first number 9 I found on my rather short walk in the city on Sunday morning.

Spotting an interesting number 7 in Aarhus turned out to be more challenging than I expected. It took me several attempts to find the one I like.
